It Started With a Simple Question

Why do we expect young people to navigate complex financial systems without ever teaching them how? That question has driven everything we've built.

We launched in Manchester three years ago with a single workshop for eight children. Today, we've worked with over 200 families across the city, and the feedback continues to validate what we already knew: kids are ready for this conversation much earlier than adults think.

Our Approach

We don't lecture. We engage. Every session is built around real scenarios that children and teenagers actually face—pocket money decisions, saving for something they want, understanding why parents say "we can't afford that."

The difference between our programmes and traditional education? We focus on application, not memorization. A child who's practiced budgeting with play money will remember those lessons far longer than one who simply read about it.

What Drives Us

Financial stress affects families deeply. Parents worry, children sense that worry, and the cycle continues. By teaching young people early, we're breaking that cycle.

When a 10-year-old understands the value of saving, or a 15-year-old can read their payslip with confidence, or a family can have open conversations about money without shame—that's what keeps us going.

Why Manchester?

This city has always valued education and community. We're proud to serve families here, from Didsbury to Wythenshawe, from students in city centre schools to suburban teenagers preparing for university.

Our examples, our pricing, our understanding of local opportunities—it all reflects the Manchester context. We're not parachuting in with generic advice. We live here, we work here, and we understand the specific challenges local families face.

"What impressed me most was how they adapted to my daughter's specific questions. Not scripted, not generic—just genuine, thoughtful guidance."

Looking Forward

We're expanding our programmes to reach more age groups and cover emerging topics like cryptocurrency, digital banking, and the gig economy. The financial landscape is evolving quickly, and so are we.

Our goal remains the same: make sure no young person in Manchester reaches adulthood feeling lost or anxious about money. It's ambitious, but we're making progress one family at a time.
